Deleting Your Account & Data

DataTagLink (“the App”) is an asset and equipment tagging application, available on Android, iOS, and the web. This page explains how to request deletion of your DataTagLink account and the data associated with it.
How to request deletion
Account deletion is handled on request. From the email address your DataTagLink account uses, send us an email:
- Email dylan@datataglink.comfrom the address your account is registered under.
- Use the subject line “Delete my account”.
- In the message, confirm you want your DataTagLink account and associated data deleted. If you are the owner/administrator of an organisation and want the whole organisation’s records removed, say so explicitly.
We verify the request comes from the account’s own email address, action it, and reply to confirm once it is complete.
What is deleted
- Your account and login: your email address, your hashed password, your profile, and the session tokens stored on your devices.
- Your personal activity data: the location entries and change-history attribution tied to you, except where a record is still relied on by your organisation (see below).
What may be kept
- Organisation records. DataTagLink is a multi-user business tool. Tags, photos, documents and history that belong to yourorganisation — even ones you created — remain available to that organisation’s other members, unless you are the organisation’s owner requesting deletion of the entire organisation.
- Legal obligations. We may retain limited information where required to comply with the law or to resolve disputes.
How long it takes
We action account-deletion requests within 30 days. Any residual copies held in encrypted backups are removed as those backups rotate, within a further 90 days.
Deleting only some of your data
You don’t have to close your account to remove data: you can delete individual photos, documents and tags directly in the App, or email us at the address above to request removal of specific data while keeping your account.
